KPI launches measures to assist customers affected by the explosion of a plastics factory in King Kaew District

Krungthai Panich Insurance Public Company Limited or KPI launches remedial measures for Fire residential insurance policyholders who affected by the explosion and fire of the plastics factory in King Kaew, Samut Prakarn Province. The company is working to provide more channels for emergency claim notification service and granting special funds for cost of temporary accommodation and residential cleaning and decontamination caused by the explosion, toxic dust, and smoke. The special funds will be given on top of the general coverage under dwelling fire policies.

The incident in King Kaew has caused extensive damage to homes and people to evacuate from the area. Krungthai Panich Insurance is aware of the importance of the urgent assistance to support our customers. The measures include more channels for online claim notification and special funds allowance to alleviate the financial burden caused by the incident, including:

  1. Special funds allowance for temporary accommodation – in case of the insured property is damaged as the result of the explosion
  2. Special funds allowance for residential cleaning as the result of the explosion, toxic dust, and smoke

Affected customers who are insured for residential fire insurance can submit claims by providing proof of temporary accommodation and/or residential cleaning expense and photos of the damages via the company’s online channels. The company will process with consideration for one or both type of remedy. The supporting aid will be based on actual expenses with maximum support of 5,000 baht.

Krungthai Panich Insurance residential fire insurance policy covers damage caused by the explosion or fire.
