Hua Hin locals recently shared great pleasure as the iconic Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin proudly granted a combined Baht 65,000 worth of scholarships and gifts at its recent Annual Scholarship Ceremony, held for the 7th consecutive year since 2012.
The afternoon of Thursday, January 31, 2019 saw the moment as Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin held its Annual Scholarship Ceremony 2019 at the hotel’s beautiful Colonial Hall. Marking the 7th year of support to Hua Hin’s local community, the ceremony was well-attended by many familiar members of Hua Hin’s society as well as students from five municipal schools; Dhammika Wittaya School, Baan Nong-kratoom School, Baan Toong-yaow School, Baan Nong-kraa School and Baan Nern-prayom School.
Holding sound academic performance and good behavioral records, a total selection of 60 students were overjoyed after receiving scholarships and gifts they had wished for; such as bikes, radio, mobile phones, sport equipment as well as school uniforms. Likewise, the afternoon was also joined by the Mayor of Hua Hin, Nopporn Wutthikul, together withPornlert Unchalern from Tourism Authority of Thailand (Prachuap Khirikhan Office), to congratulate the students.

“My team and I are very glad to see that Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin is able take part in supporting the local community and improve early childhood education in Hua Hin. This year, the total number of students selected for scholarships has risen to 60 students. Since 2012, the hotel has raised over Baht 500,000 and continuously awarded over 300 scholarships. We hope that more and more Hua Hin scholars will be given similar opportunities to help them develop and grow.”
