Marriott & Asset World bring Ritz-Carlton to Phuket: A luxurious getaway

The Ritz Carlton - LogoMarriott International and Asset World Corporation (AWC) have signed an agreement to bring The Ritz-Carlton brand to the island paradise of Phuket, Thailand. The existing Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa, Phuket will undergo a strategic renovation and rebranding to become The Ritz-Carlton, Phuket, which is scheduled to open in 2025. With its serene location on the east coast of the island overlooking the Andaman Sea, guests can expect breathtaking views and luxurious amenities.

Upon opening, the resort will offer 182 guestrooms, suites, and private villas, ranging from 50 to 196 square meters. Guests can enjoy eight restaurants, bars, and lounges, three swimming pools, a fitness centre, and a Ritz-Carlton Spa with eight treatment rooms, whirlpools, plunge pools, steam rooms, a sauna, and a salon. Four function rooms with 544 square meters of indoor space, plus a 168-square meter pre-function area and outdoor spaces are available for events and weddings.

“We are confident that The Ritz-Carlton, Phuket, once opened, will be well-positioned to meet the increased demand of luxury travel to the destination, in line with the Thailand Government’s goal of attracting more discerning travelers to the Thai Kingdom,” said Rajeev Menon, President, Asia Pacific (Excluding China), Marriott International.

AWC CEO and President, Ms Wallapa Traisorat, added, “The launch of The Ritz-Carlton, Phuket will add to AWC’s portfolio of hotels in Phuket, which meet the needs of a diverse range of travelers.” AWC is committed to sustainability and will develop The Ritz-Carlton, Phuket to meet LEED and WELL green building standards.

Phuket is home to nine Marriott International hotels across seven brands, including Marriott Hotels, JW Marriott, Renaissance, Le Méridien, Four Points by Sheraton, Courtyard by Marriott, and The Luxury Collection. With the addition of The Ritz-Carlton, Phuket in 2025, guests can expect an elevated luxury experience on the island paradise.
