Shimeharitsuru sake is among the best sakes produced anywhere in Japan and now its rich and light flavours can be appreciated at a special multi-course Kaiseki dinner at The Okura Prestige Bangkok’s signature Japanese restaurant Yamazato only on 28 March 2020.
The success of the Shimeharitsuru brewery is attributed to the purity of its well water, which comes from the Asahi mountain range of Niigata and Yamagata, and the quality of rice used in the making of its sake. In 1965 Shimeharitsuru were one of the first to start making “Junmai” sake and their Junmai Ginjo Yamadanishiki is one of six premium labels presented at the dinner alongside Kin, Jun, Ginsen, Tsuki –Moon and Genshu.
These exceptionally crafted beverages can be enjoyed with seven courses of exquisite seasonal dishes from Master Chef Shigeru Hagiwara such as a soup of Kasugo snapper and shrimp dumpling, an assortment of sashimi and a special dish of deep-fried greenling with ostrich fern.
The Shimeharitsuru Sake Dinner at Yamazato takes place on Saturday 28 March 2020 from 18:30 – 22:00. Price is Baht 4,700++ per person.
