Millennium Hotels and Resorts Achieves 100% Vaccination Rate

Ahead of the new “Vaccinate or Regular Testing” regime that comes into effect on 1 October, Millennium Hotels and Resorts (MHR) in Singapore has achieved a 100% vaccination rate for its frontline employees.

As of 20 September, all 536 frontline employees across the six Singapore hotels – Orchard Hotel, Grand Copthorne Waterfront, M Hotel, Copthorne King’s, Studio M, M Social – and the corporate office have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

“This demonstrates our commitment to preserving the health, safety and well-being of our people.

We have gone the extra mile in advocating vaccination for the safety of all employees and their loved ones by creating awareness of vaccine benefits and granting staff time off work to get their jabs,” said Mr John Tan, Vice President, Human Resources, Southeast Asia. “Staff also undergo weekly routine testing to detect and contain infections early.”

To celebrate their 100% vaccination rate achievement, the six Singapore hotels have launched an online campaign to spread the news. Guests who share the news with family and friends on their social media pages stand to win a meal for two at the hotels.

Other than encouraging staff to get vaccinated, MHR has also joined the Singapore government’s vaccination drive to help Singapore move forward with its reopening plans. The hotels recently launched special celebratory deals for vaccinated guests over the National Day period in August this year. The hotels also remain committed to its global “We Clean. We Care. We Welcome.”

promise, ensuring that every stay with MHR is safe, clean and comfortable, and that the wellbeing of employees is safeguarded.

Mr Tan added, “All of us have a part to play in working towards a fully vaccinated Singapore.Ensuring our staff are 100% vaccinated is a step in the right direction.”
