In line with the theme for the 40th Bangkok International Motor Show 2019, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Co., Ltd. showcases a state-of-the-art prototype designed for a smarter and more connected driving experience. Developed for the future, the MITSUBISHI e-EVOLUTION CONCEPT comes from Mitsubishi Motors’ core strength in SUVs (Sports Utility Vehicles) and leadership in EV (Electric Vehicles) and advanced technologies. It brings new levels of connected mobility to its drivers.

“We aim to provide vehicles that fulfill our customers’ desires through outstanding design, combined with the power, authenticity and carefully-considered functionality Mitsubishi Motors is known for,” Mr. Morikazu Chokki, President and Chief Executive Officer, Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. said during the presentation.

As a technical prototype, the new-generation high-performance all-electric crossover SUV represents Mitsubishi Motors’ challenge of technological borders, as it heads towards the future of automobiles. The concept car features an integrated system of Artificial Intelligence (AI), connectivity, on-board and cloud computing.

Immediately familiar with its signature Dynamic Shield design language outside and an instrument panel with the famous horizontal styling inside, the EV system consists of a set of high-torque, high-performance electric motors. Electronic torque-vectoring provides exceptional driving performance and experience while sensors allow the AI system to continually measure and adapt to the driver’s abilities. Consequently, the vehicle will adapt to the driver’s individual preferences and driving style, bringing driving experiences to a whole new and futuristic level.
Mr. Chokki also introduced the media and guests to another concept vehicle on its stand – the MITSUBISHI TRITON ABSOLUTE. “This vehicle is the icon for our MITSUBISHI TRITON. It is ‘ABSOLUTELY BEYOND TOUGH’, designed with the concept of ‘Build-up Robustness’,” Mr. Chokki explained.

Mitsubishi Motors wanted to express MITSUBISHI TRITON’s toughness and truck dynamism using this vehicle, displaying a more solid and brutal appearance with mechanical durability expressed through tough and metallic design finished off with a stylized signature ‘ABSOLUTE’ logo. The concept vehicle brings to an extreme extent what the NEW MITSUBISHI TRITON is all about.
