Oman Air wins Best First Class Award

Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, has been named best First Class Suite by German-based iF design, a world leader in design. The national carrier’s bespoke design delivers new levels of comfort and offers the ultimate luxurious experience for the discerning premium customers travelling in First Class.

Oman Air’s First Class cabin includes a pull-out garment hook and closet, companion seat, device connectivity and chilled mini-bar. Passengers are seated four-abreast for direct aisle access, with privacy walls and doors surrounding each suite. Designed for long-haul flights, the First Class suite accommodates all inflight activities including entertainment on a wide-screen monitor, lie-flat sleep in a full bed and gourmet dining.

Oman Air partnered with Teague, a U.S. company combining technology and best-in-class design in the development of its award-winning First Class suite.

Noting that Teague has worked with globally dominant brands to enhance customer comfort and experience, Abdulaziz AlRaisi added, “As part of our Transformation Programme, more than ever we are welcoming opportunities to work with the world’s best companies to ensure that our guests receive the best possible experience 30,000 feet in the sky”.

Each year, the iF International Forum Design GmbH organizes one of the world’s most respected design competitions: the iF Design Award. Recognized globally as a symbol of design excellence, the program receives over 6000 entries annually from 70 countries.
