Rolls-Royce Motor Cars returns to the 40thBangkok International Motor Show to present the most iconic model line-up for the first time at the renowned regional motoring stage. Following the record-breaking success of 2018, where Rolls-Royce delivered the most number of cars globally as well as achieved new milestones for its mastery of bespoke, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bangkok presents a unique take on super luxury lifestyle, perfectly suited to the high net worth individuals in the Kingdom of Thailand.

To demonstrate the characteristics of each model, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bangkok collaborated with local celebrity and fashion designer Thattaworn ‘Von’ Sugunnasil, founder and creative director of VVON SUGUNNASIL, to create five Bespoke outfits for each car – showing how each model is clearly and effortlessly differentiated to suit different occasions and lifestyles.

Mr. Ian Grant, Asia Pacific Regional Sales Manager for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said, “Rolls-Royce Motor Cars continues to be at the pinnacle of super-luxury around the world, evidenced further by the greatest sales result in the brand’s 115-year history in 2018. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bangkok contributed to this achievement, and now with Cullinan added to the range, we are proud to showcase the marque’s most complete model range yet. With the brand evolving, younger customers are now approaching the brand from Thailand and around the region with cars such as Cullinan and Black Badge.”

Mr. Sunthornpan Dhechatech, General Manager for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bangkok commented, “We are very happy to be presenting the full iconic Rolls-Royce range for everyone to discover at the 40thBangkok International Motor Show, and we are honoured thatThattaworn ‘Von’ Sugunnasil is showcasing his latest pieces to pair with each of our cars. Rolls-Royce has always been associated with fashion and glamour. The brand now has a truly Bespoke super-luxury offering for every segment, and we are optimistic about the brand’s growth throughout Thailand in the years to come.”

Thailand is the only South East Asian country to have Rolls-Royce presence at four locations – at Rama III, Siam Paragon and a gallery showcase at ICONSIAM in Bangkok, as well as an additional Boutique showroom in Phuket, underlining Thailand’s appetite for super-luxury.

The Pinnacle Luxury Icon: Phantom

The most iconic car on display at the 40thBangkok International Motor Show is the eighth-generation Rolls-Royce Phantom, finished in a two-tone Gunmetal and Silver, with a Seashell /Navy Blue interior contrasted with Piano Black veneers. Phantom is the flagship model of the Rolls-Royce range, a nameplate steeped in history and the most rarefied and desirable object in the luxury world.

Powered by an effortlessly smooth twin-turbocharged V12 engine and underpinned by the Architecture of Luxury, an all-aluminium spaceframe developed specifically for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Phantom is the purest interpretation of Rolls-Royce’s ‘Magic Carpet Ride’, providing pinnacle levels of quietness, comfort and luxury for occupants.

Phantom also features cutting-edge technology with all-digital interfaces, intuitive controls and a suite of driver/passenger safety features. Headlights incorporate Laser light technology, while a stereo camera system in the windscreen reads undulations in the surfaces ahead, making millions of adjustments per second to the four-corner air suspension to pre-empt bumps and other uneven surfaces. The result is ride quality unlike any other – like wafting on a cloud of air.

Last but not least, Phantom is the largest-ever canvas for Bespoke, with vast possibilities for patrons to personalise and create their ultimate vision of a super-luxury motor car. For example, the Phantom on display in Bangkok features 1,340 optic fibre LEDs to create the iconic Rolls-Royce ‘Starlight Headliner’, emulating the night sky from the rear seats.

The Ultimate Business Limousine: Ghost

Ghost continues to remain at the cornerstone of Rolls-Royce’s business in Thailand, the ultimate symbol of arrival for successful business men, women, and entrepreneurs as they create new streams of wealth to achieve unique personal success. On display at the 40thBangkok International Motor Show is a Ghost Series II finished in a Black Kirsch exterior colour with a Satin Silver bonnet, paired with a two-tone Black/Crème Light interior and a Mahogany veneer.

The sculpted silhouette of Ghost and the unmistakably-shaped daytime-running LEDs make Ghost instantly recognisable along the streets of Bangkok, turning heads while occupants remain cocooned in sheer luxury inside. Powering Ghost is a 6.6-litre twin-turbocharged V12, providing and near-limitless supply of smooth torque for effortless acceleration in any situation. The four-corner air suspension on Ghost further enhances the car’s Magic Carpet Ride.

The interior of Ghost is appointed with the highest quality leathers, woods and metals, with rear-seat entertainment available to make any long-distance highway trek across Thailand a breeze. On-board Wi-Fi makes Ghost Series II the most connected, luxurious place in which to conduct business on the move, whilst Satellite Aided Transmission (SAT) enhances the car’s dynamism – ensuring the car automatically adapts to its surroundings to create the most sublime and smooth drive experience.

The dark side of Rolls-Royce: Wraith Black Badge

In response to the changing luxury lifestyles of young and highly-successful individuals, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars created a bolder, more dynamic alter ego in the form of Black Badge. At the 40thBangkok International Motor Show, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars presents the most powerful vision of this ethos with a Wraith Black Badge, finished in Anthracite to dramatize the dynamic nature of the car, with a two-tone White/Anthracite interior and Technical Fibre veneers. Wraith Black Badge is the most dynamic model in the Rolls-Royce range, with 870Nm of torque from its 6.6-litre twin-turbocharged V12. A new exhaust tone adds an aural dimension to the suite of engineering enhancements, including strategic changes to the transmission and throttle strategy to allow for an enhanced feeling of urgency when behind the wheel.

Wraith Black Badge may be a darker animal from the outside, but its interior construction displays every hallmark of Rolls-Royce’s famous fastidious attention to detail. Threads of aircraft grade aluminium, a delicate 0.014m in diameter, are woven together and then bonded in carbon fibre to create a new Technical Fibre veneer unique to Black Badge. Other Black Badge-only touches include 22-layer, triple-axle folded carbon fibre wheels, reverse-coloured R-R badges and a dark chrome Spirit of Ecstasy at the front.

A Seductive Encounter: Dawn

The Rolls-Royce Dawn is a striking, seductive four-seater super luxury convertible, presented at the40thBangkok International Motor Showin a Silver finish with a Blue hood, paired with a Seashell/Navy-blue two-tone interior. Dawn takes its name from the 1952 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn, a special drop-head created for patrons to enjoy truly luxurious open-top motoring.

A true four-seater convertible, Dawn allows no compromise on social enjoyment, with two full-size rear seats instead of reduced legroom options on traditional convertibles. An elegant silhouette creates effortlessness and dynamism, with unique panels and a completely re-engineered body to ensure utmost stiffness even with the roof down.

In true Rolls-Royce fashion, comfort, luxury and quietness are all at the highest levels in Dawn. Engineering enhancements unique to Dawn enhance the drop-top drive, and despite using a fabric roof, noise levels are comparable to that of any hard top, thanks to a perfectly smooth ‘French Seam’ surface and six layers of fabric soundproofing. As always, the best materials are appointed throughout the interior, and occupants are cosseted in the lap of luxury.

The Rolls-Royce of SUVs: Cullinan

Cullinan is the newest model to be added to the Rolls-Royce range, completing the marque’s offerings for any luxury patron’s lifestyle preference. The Rolls-Royce of SUVs promises to redefine luxury travel as Effortless, Everywhere – a car for those with an adventurous spirit, while accepting no compromises on quality, craftsmanship and luxury.

The first-ever Rolls-Royce SUV features all-wheel drive for the first time, combining it with cutting-edge technological innovations like the new Architecture of Luxury, four-wheel steering, Laser headlights and a suite of driver and safety aids for the most advanced, yet versatile Rolls-Royce ever built. With a raised ride height, best-in-class wading capabilities and a one-touch ‘Off-road’ mode, Cullinan is also the first Rolls-Royce capable of taking the famed Rolls-Royce ‘Magic Carpet Ride’ off-road.

At the 40thBangkok International Motor Show, Cullinan is presented in Infinity Black with a Mandarin Coachline, paired with a triple-tone Scivaro Grey/Black/Mandarin interior colour scheme and Chevron Wood veneers. With four individual seats and a fixed rear centre console containing a drinks decanter and a wine chiller, the Cullinan shown at this year’s show is the most luxurious interpretation of Rolls-Royce’s latest jewel in its crown.

The Strongest Rolls-Royce Lineup Ever

Rolls-Royce’s visionary creations at the 40thBangkok International Motor Show are proof of the marque’s mastery of Bespoke craftsmanship, each creation informed by listening carefully to patrons’ desires and needs. Phantom, Ghost, Wraith, Dawn and now Cullinan – the iconic range is now stronger than ever.
