Romance is on the Menu at Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort

Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort makes romance easy this year by inviting guests to take care of their Valentine’s Day plans early with an extensive dining programme across its signature restaurants.

For those who can’t wait to celebrate the joy of being together, Valentine’s festivities start on 12 February with a Saturday Brunch at Benihana, a boisterous Japanese teppanyaki steakhouse. Priced at THB 1,500++ per person, its highlights include sushi and sashimi stations, seafood on ice and live teppanyaki. On February 14, lovebirds can experience Benihana’s special Valentines’ Day set menu featuring Sushi & Roll Lover Boat, hamaguri clam soup, premium teppanyaki and a sweet finale. Available from 5.00 pm to 10.30 pm for THB 4,999++ per couple, the offer includes one glass of wine or sparkling wine per guest.

Couples can also choose to celebrate with an idyllic experience on the River of Kings with Manohra Cruises. During the leisurely two-hour cruise, they will enjoy live music and dine on traditional Thai fare, including made-to-share dishes such as pork cheek tom klong, grilled lobster with tamarind sauce and roasted duck with phanaeng curry. Available on February 12 and 14, Valentine’s Day cruise is priced at THB 6,999++ per couple (THB 8,499++ with unlimited alcoholic beverages), including welcome drinks and canapes at the pier from 6.30 pm onwards.

At Trader Vic’s, the home of the original Mai Tai, Sunday Brunch Pre-Valentine Edition promises classic sushi and sashimi delights, Tex-Mex favourites, prime rib roast, imported oysters and pasta from the cheese wheel. Taking place on 13 February from 12.00 pm to 3.00 pm, brunch starts at THB 2,400++ per person (THB 3,300++ with alcoholic beverages). Guests can come back on Valentine’s Day itself for a special four-course set menu priced at THB 2,100++ per person, with one glass of wine or sparkling wine per guest included.

Another V-day option is the all-you-can-eat dim sum lunch and dinner at Spice & Barley, a modern Chinese cuisine lounge where award-winning chefs will be sending basket after steaming basket of homemade dumplings and buns, alongside an assortment of favourite desserts. Spice & Barley’s Valentine’s Day special is priced at THB 1,288++ per person, including soft drinks.

For those who want to pop the question or simply dine in complete privacy, a fully bespoke candlelit dinner is made possible thanks to Anantara’s signature Dining by Design service. For THB 13,000++ per couple, a sumptuous six-course meal with wine pairings and customised décor can be arranged in the most romantic of settings: a riverfront Thai sala or aboard a restored rice barge cruising down the river as the sun sets.

All Valentine Day’s set meals and the dim sum experience include a complimentary fresh rose for each couple.
