SALA Hospitality Group, will entice diners with the traditional Thai delicacy; Khao Chae, as an added dish to the menu at our select sala boutiques.
Originally a dish that was served in the Royal Courts during the hot summer months, the name is derived from how it is served.
‘Khao’ means rice and ‘chae’ means to soak in water. Following the traditions of this dish, our chefs first boil the rice and then serve it soaked in icy cold jasmine-scented water for added fragrance. An array of flavourful side dishes that perfectly complement the rice is served, including shrimp paste dumplings, stuffed sweet chilli, fried shallots, caramelised dried turnip and shredded sweet pork.
Available throughout the month of April 2022 as part of our a la carte menu.
