Airport lounges are vital in curbing travel anxiety. Asia Skålleagues will have access to great offers from Priority Pass.
Travellers regard lounge access as the number one most desirable travel benefit at the airport. Fifty-five per cent of respondents to a recent survey said they feel valued and recognised as valuable customers. The report stated that access to a lounge is a prized reward benefit, especially in markets such as China, Hong Kong, Singapore and South Korea.
Forty-one per cent also agreed that lounge access makes them feel safer when travelling. However, these numbers are significantly higher in markets such as China (Macau, Hong Kong) and India, where borders have remained mainly closed in 2022.
Skål Asia says the study, which surveyed over 5,000 frequent travellers across seven major markets of Asia Pacific, including Hong Kong, India, Japan, Singapore, Australia, China, and South Korea, reveals that the state of travel in 2022 will see an improvement from the prior year in terms of the percentage of travellers undertaking frequent trips.
What is significant is the rise in the number of people who are willing to undertake international travel, which is growing weekly. Also, this reflects how travellers are not holding back and remain eager to make up for the time and experiences lost over the last two years due to the pandemic.
