Star Alliance Celebrates Bringing Home The Skytrax World Airline Award For The Best Airline Alliance Lounge 2019

The Star Alliance Lounge Los Angeles has once again received the Skytrax World Airline Award for the World’s Best Airline Alliance Lounge. It is the fifth year in a row for Star Alliance to receive the coveted accolade for the Air New Zealand led Star Alliance branded lounge at Los Angeles’ Tom Bradley International Terminal.

To celebrate this historic achievement with partners and employees, the Star Alliance Lounge Los Angeles hosted a lounge event on 19th June.

Handing over the award, Star Alliance CEO Jeffrey Goh said:

“It is a great honour to receive this award for the fifth consecutive year. This distinction is a recognition of the high standards in service that we deliver, and I would like to extend my thanks to our customers for their continued trust and exceptional loyalty.

This acknowledgement would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our staff and business partners, who share our vision of making the customer experience better”.

During the past twelve months, Star Alliance has further expanded its network of Star Alliance branded lounges with the new opening of facilities at the airports in Rome Fiumicino and Amsterdam Schiphol.

Star Alliance First and Business Class passengers as well as Star Alliance Gold Card holders currently have access to more than 1,000 lounges across the Alliance’s global airline network. In addition to airlines’ own lounges and those operated by third parties, Star Alliance offers eight branded lounges. Besides LAX, these are located in Amsterdam (AMS), Buenos Aires (EZE), Nagoya (NGO), Paris (CDG), Rio de Janeiro (GIG), Rome (FCO) and São Paulo (GRU).
