Tetra Pak collaborates with recycling businesses in “The Green Shelter Project for Friends in Need (of “Pa”) Volunteers Foundation”

Tetra Pak, a world-leading processing and packaging solutions company, collaborated with recycling businesses to sign a memorandum of understanding to launch “The Green Shelter project for Friends in Need (of “Pa”) Volunteers Foundation”.

With this project, participating stakeholders aim to support the collecting and recycling of used beverage cartons into various quality construction materials. The recycled material will be used to build new homes to benefit the planet and community, such as roofing sheet, eco-wood, eco-bricks, door frames, and much more. The project is led by Fiber Pattana Company Limited, Eco-Friendly Thai Company Limited, Recycoex Company Limited, Advanced Mat Company Limited, and M.B.J. Enterprise Company Limited. Partners signed the memorandum at EDEN Zone, 3rd floor, Central World.

The Green Shelter project for Friends in Need (of “Pa”) Volunteers Foundation is an ongoing project that builds on the Green Roof Project’s success, which was completed in June 2022. The project collaborates with partners from many sectors, especially recycling businesses, who have helped improve and develop used beverage carton recycling into valuable products and enhance the value of used beverage carton waste across the recycling industry. This project is aligned with Tetra Pak’s sustainability strategy, which is driven by the company’s commitment to a low-carbon circular economy.

Individuals interested in donating used beverage cartons to the project can do so at ‘drop-off’ stations at all Big C Super Centers nationwide and 10 of Mini Big C Supermarket in Bangchak gas station in Bangkok, as well as Central Department Stores and affiliated office buildings across the country will begin piloting at 18 locations in Bangkok and surrounding provinces. Please check out the Green Shelter project website at https://www.tetrapak.com/en-th/sustainability/planet/thaigreenshelter and  www.Facebook.com/Thaigreenshelter on how to become a project volunteer.
