Tetra Pak, together with partners, launches “The Green Shelter Project for Friends in Need (of “Pa”) Volunteers Foundation”

Tetra Pak, a world-leading processing and packaging solutions company, together with partners in several sectors, signed a memorandum of understanding to launch “The Green Shelter project for Friends in Need (of “Pa”) Volunteers Foundation”.

This collaborative campaign originated with the key founding partners, including Friends in Need (of “Pa”) Volunteers Foundation, Thai Red Cross Society, BJC Big C, 360 Degree Entertainment (TV 360 news), and the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The new partners include Central Pattana Public Company Limited, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, the Relief and Community Health Bureau, Thai Red Cross Society and BEC World Public Company Limited (Channel 3). Partners signed the memorandum at EDEN Zone, 3rd floor, Central World.

The Green Shelter project for Friends in Need (of “Pa”) Volunteers Foundation is an ongoing project that builds on the Green Roof Project’s success, which was completed in June 2022. The project aims to promote the collection of used beverage cartons that can be brought back into the full recycling process. The Green Shelter Project has advanced the development of used beverage carton recycling, from roofing sheets to a variety of construction materials, in order to build “homes” for people in need.

Individuals interested in donating used beverage cartons to the project can do so at ‘drop-off’ stations at all Big C Super Centers nationwide and some of Mini Big C Supermarket in Bangchak gas station in Bangkok, as well as Central Department Stores and affiliated office buildings across the country will begin piloting at 18 locations in Bangkok and surrounding provinces. Please check out the Green Shelter project website at www.tetrapak.com/th/thaigreenshelter and  www.Facebook.com/Thaigreenshelter on how to become a project volunteer.
