THAI Adjusts Flight Frequency to People’s Republic of China

Mr. Nond Kalinta, Vice President of Sales Department, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) said that due to an outbreak of a Novel Coronavirus in the People’s Republic of China, whereby the Chinese Government prohibits inbound and outbound flights from Wuhan and other cities in the vicinity that may pose potential risks, THAI has adjusted its flight frequency in order to match with current changes to flight demand. The changes to flights to and from China during 6-29 February 2020 are as follows:

  1. On theBangkok-Beijing-Bangkok route, reduced from two flights per day to one flight per day from 8-29 February 2020
  2. On theBangkok-Shanghai-Bangkok route, reduced from two flights per day to one flight per day from 10-29 February 2020
  3. On theBangkok-Guangzhou-Bangkok route, reduced from two flights per day to one flight per day from 8-29 February 2020
  4. On theBangkok-Chengdu-Bangkok route, reduced from seven flights per week to five flights per week from 6-27 February 2020
  5. On theBangkok-Kunming-Bangkok route, reduced from seven flights per week to three flights per week from 6-29 February 2020
  6. On the Bangkok-Xiamen-Bangkok route, reduced from four flights per week to two flights per week from 6-27 February 2020

THAI will closely monitor the situation and strictly implement preventive measures against the outbreak of the novel coronavirus for gaining passenger confidence.
