THAI and THAI Smile Deliver Food and Consumer Products for Flood Victims in Northeastern Thailand

The Ministry of Transport (MoT), through Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) and Thai Smile Airways Company Limited (THAI Smile), will deliver food and consumer products for flood victims in Northeastern Thailand.

Mr. Sumeth Damrongchaitham, THAI President, said that Mr. Saksayam Chidchob, Minister of Transport, and Mr. Thaworn Senium, Deputy Minister of Transport, requested the assistance of THAI and THAI Smile to collect donations of food and consumer products for flood victims residing in Northeastern Thailand. Donations will be transported on THAI Smile flights to the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, under the Ministry of Interior, for further distribution.

Mrs. Charita Leelayudh, THAI Smile Chief Executive Officer, said THAI Smile volunteered to deliver food and consumer products free of charge for flood victims from Suvarnabhumi International Airport to Khon Kaen, Ubon Ratchathani, and Udon Thani, as of today until the situation is resolved.

Donations of food and consumer products for flood victims, such as dried food and medicine, will be collected by THAI and THAI Smile at the THAI Domestic Cargo Building, Suvarnabhumi International Airport. No fresh food or dangerous goods will be accepted. For convenient delivery, all donations must be packed in boxes of the dimension 50x50x50 centimeter and not over 30 kilograms.
