THAI Flies Stranded Thais in the US Back Home from Seoul to Bangkok

Anirute Sangrit, Vice President, Flight Operations Department, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI), and Head of THAI Operations Control Center (TOCC), said that THAI and the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized the special flight TG655 on the Seoul-Bangkok route which departed from Seoul,

Republic of Korea at 21.00 hours (local time) on 15 May 2020 and arrived in Bangkok at 00.46 hours on 16 May 2020 to fly 204 stranded Thais in the US traveled with Asiana Airlines from New York and Los Angeles for a connecting flight with THAI from Seoul to Bangkok following the COVID-19 outbreak.

To reduce the risk of transmission among cabin crew and passengers, physical distancing procedures were applied in every service: check-in, passenger boarding, seat arrangement, serving inflight meals in disposable boxes to avoid physical contact, and disembarking. The cabin crew were required to wear protective suits, medical masks, and gloves while providing services, and observe passengers with possible symptoms.

THAI, as the national flag carrier which has been providing services for 60 years, is always prepared to fly Thais home during this difficult time.
