Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) announced flights adjustments and cancellations to Northern Thailand during Loy Krathong and New Year’s Eve to maintain the highest flight safety standards due to floating lanterns on these occasions.
Flight Lieutenant Pratana Patanasiri, THAI Vice President, Aviation Security and Standards, said many Northern provinces hold floating lantern activities to celebrate Loy Krathong and New Year’s Eve every year, which may affect flight safety. Therefore, THAI will adjust and cancel some flights from Bangkok-Chiangmai on 11-12 November 2019 and 31 December 2019 for safe flight operations, as follows:
- Roundtrip flights from Bangkok-Chiang Mai on 11-12 November 2019 and 31 December 2019 are cancelled.
1.1. Flight TG 120 Bangkok-Chiang Mai on 11-12 November 2019 and 31 December 2019
1.2. Flight TG 121 Chiang Mai-Bangkok on 11-12 November 2019 and 31 December 2019
- Flights operated on 11-12 November 2019 and 31 December 2019 have been adjusted.
2.1. Flight TG 103 Chiang Mai-Bangkok on 11 November 2019, originally rescheduled to depart from Chiang Mai at 10.05 hours and arrive in Bangkok at 11.25 hours, has been rescheduled to depart from Chiang Mai at 9.55 hours and arrive in Bangkok at 11.15 hours
2.2. Flight TG 105 Chiang Mai-Bangkok on 11 November 2019, originally scheduled to depart from Chiang Mai at 10.40 hours and arrive in Bangkok at 11.55 hours, has been rescheduled to depart from Chiang Mai at 12.05 hours and arrive in Bangkok at 13.20 hours
2.3. Flight TG 116 Bangkok-Chiang Mai on 11-12 November 2019 and 31 December 2019, originally scheduled to depart from Bangkok at 17.10 hours and arrive in Chiang Mai at 18.30 hours, has been rescheduled to depart from Bangkok at 15.50 hours and arrive in Chiang Mai at 17.00 hours
2.4. Flight TG 117 Chiang Mai-Bangkok on 11-12 November 2019 and 31 December 2019, originally scheduled to depart from Chiang Mai at 19.20 hours and arrive in Bangkok at 20.40 hours, has been rescheduled to depart from Chiang Mai at 17.50 hours and arrive in Bangkok at 19.05 hours
