THAI Recruits 200 New Flight Attendants

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) announced that 200 flight attendants of Thai nationality will be recruited to provide service on THAI flights and accommodate forthcoming route expansion.

Mrs. Suvimol Bualerd, THAI Executive Vice President of Human Resources, said THAI is recruiting 200 new flight attendants (TQV 2019) to accommodate route expansion. Newly recruited flight attendants will work under a three-year contract, which m  ay be extended based on satisfactory performance once for a period of at least three years.  Those interested may apply on thaiairways.com during 10-31 October 2019 or by scanning the QR code.  Applicant requirements are as follows:

Female Applicants

–        Thai national, single (never legally married) with no children

–        Less than 24 years of age (date of birth commencing from 1 January 1995)

–        Minimum height of 160 centimeters with weight in proportion to height based on company standards

–        Capable of swimming no less than 50 meters continually and can swim freestyle

Male Applicants

–        Thai national, single (never legally married) with no children

–        Less than 24 years of age (date of birth commencing from 1 January 1995)

–        Fulfilled Thai military draft requirement

–        Minimum height of 165 centimeters with weight in proportion to height based on company standards

–        Capable of swimming no less than 100 meters continually and can swim freestyle

Other Requirements

–        Holds at least a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (unlimited degree concentrations)

–        Foreign graduates must be certificated by the Bureau of Higher Education Standards and Evaluation

–        Pass any of the standardized English language exams as follows:

  • Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) score of over 600 or
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

–        Paper-based test score of over 500 or

–        Computer-based test score of over 173 or

–     Internet-based test score of over 61 or

  • International English Language Testing Systems (IELTS) score of more than 5.5 or
  • THAI Test of English Proficiency (THAI-TEP) score of over 59

THAI-TEP is THAI’s English language exam that is used to measure a job applicant’s English language skills. More details are available on thaiairways.com

–     Applicants must be able to converse verbally and understand English well. Other foreign language skills, such as Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, French and German will be given consideration.

–     Interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and service mind are favorable.

THAI flight attendants who are recruited in this group will perform duties for a specific period of time that will terminate at the end of the contract period.  This form of contractual employment is a flight attendant recruitment policy that is used by other leading air carriers worldwide. In addition, this is an opportunity to grant an experience at the national flag carrier which has excellent standard of services for the applicants.
