Thai Vietjet signs Memorandum of Understanding with Phyathai Hospital To Mutually Promote Thailand as Medical Tourism Hub

Executive Marketing Director of Phyathai 1 Hospital,Phyathai 2 Hospital,Paolo Hospital Phaholyothin, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to mutually promote medical packages to tourists from ASEAN countries, by launching a special package comprised of international medical health check-up package at Phyathai Hospital and a Thai Vietjet round-trip ticket to Bangkok, with the special offer ‘Buy 1 Get 1 Free.’

Aligning with Thailand as Asia’s medical tourism hub, the collaboration between Thai Vietjet and Phyathai Hospital aims to promote and increase the number of inbound tourists from ASEAN countries, especially from Cambodia, Vietnam, and Singapore.

Thailand is regarded across Southeast Asia as the hub of medical tourism. The partnership between Thai Vietjet and Phyathai Hospital will bring medical tourists from ASEAN to Thailand, boosting the number of incoming tourists to Thailand significantly. We are confident that the collaboration between the two parties will play a key role in the growth of medical tourism in the region, contributing to economic and tourism development of the country in general.’ said Mr. Pinyot Pibulsonggram, Director of Commercial, Thai Vietjet.

The special medical package is inclusive of an international medical health check-up at Phyathai Hospital and a Thai Vietjet round-trip ticket to Bangkok, which facilitates medical tourists from ASEAN countries to Thailand, especially, after the travel restrictions between many countries in the region have been lifted. The special offer ‘Buy 1 Get 1 Free’ is exclusively available during the first launch of the package at the special price of THB 9,900 each and available for purchase now at http://skyfun.travel.

Currently, Thai Vietjet is operating the daily flight service from Phnom Penh to Bangkok, while operating the international flight service between Singapore and Bangkok with the frequency of 3 flights a week, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, and shall increase to 5 flights per week and daily flight in June 2022.

In addition, Thai Vietjet, in cooperation with Vietjet Group has remained stable flight services between Thailand and Vietnam. The airline currently operates a stable flight service from Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh City with a frequency of up to 3 flights daily, while resumed the direct service between Bangkok and Da Nang in March 2022, with the frequency of 3 flights per week every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Currently, passengers entering Thailand are no longer required to possess a certificate of testing for the Covid-19 test with a negative result prior to entering the country or upon arrival. Besides, the passengers are not required to quarantine upon arrival due to the removal of the ‘Test & Go’ scheme since May 1st, 2022.

Thai Vietjet has been providing leading capacity to passengers with the highest level of safety for travel during the Covid-19 outbreak. The carrier also strictly performs aircraft disinfection throughout its fleet in compliance with the Thai Ministry of Public Health and CAAT’s directives, to reduce potential risk to the health of passengers and its staff.
