The House of Eden: Anantara Siam Bangkok Reveals New Artist Collaboration with Krishna the Fifth for its Afternoon Tea Culture Series

Continuing to be the platform for talented local artists and Bangkok’s premier afternoon tea destination, Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel has partnered with Atthakrisna Vannason, a Bangkok-based artist known as Krishna the Fifth, to launch the House of Eden afternoon tea experience.

Whisking guests into a forbidden garden inhabited by mythical creatures, the sensory experience retells the biblical story of the sixth day of creation through scientific illustrations painting on a classic canvas. In a whimsical terrestrial journey in which the artist introduces the viewer to the inhabitants of the Garden of Eden, the forbidden fruit is replaced by a decadent tea service offered amid the frescoed splendour of the Lobby Lounge.

Curated by the hotel’s Executive Pastry Chef and celebrated master patissier Anupong Nualchawee, the House of Eden’s sweet and savoury selection includes subtle references to Biblical themes and playful reinterpretations of afternoon tea classics.

Guests are invited to bite into Envy Apple and Earl Grey macarons; the blushing “naked” gala apple tartlet with chestnut leaf; savoury beetroot and crab meat rillettes; and a riff on a traditional cucumber sandwich modernised with salmon, quail egg and decadent truffle cream cheese. By popular demand, Chef Anupong’s moreish scones are back with a choice of apple and cinnamon and cream cheese butter flavoursall served with premium Mariage Frères teas.

Guests can view the exclusive artworks by Krishna the Fifth at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel starting from 15 October 2022 while enjoying The House of Eden afternoon tea. Served daily in the Lobby Lounge from 2 pm. to 6 pm., the experience is priced at THB 1,950++ for two people, including a selection of Mariage Frères teas.
