The Okura Prestige Bangkok’s Michelin-starred Elements Restaurant Welcomes New Chef de Cuisine

Leading luxury hotel The Okura Prestige Bangkok has the pleasure of announcing the appointment of Hans Zahner as the new Chef de Cuisine at its Michelin-starred Elements Restaurant, effective 15 July 2019.

Chef Hans, who studied at CFA d’Auxerre culinary college from 1997-2000, joins the Elements team having previously worked at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok as a Restaurant Chef at Tables. He first came to Asia in 2015 as the Restaurant Chef of Sir Elly’s, the Michelin-starred contemporary French restaurant at The Peninsula Shanghai, and prior to that worked under the likes of Chef Eric Briffard at the renowned Four Seasons George V Paris, Chef Alain Ducasse at Hotel Plaza Athenee Paris, and in the kitchens of 2-Michelin star restaurant Lasserre under Chef Christophe Moret.

Commenting on the appointment, Chef Alvaro Roa, Executive Chef at The Okura Prestige Bangkok said, “Hans has a fantastic grounding in the preparation of contemporary French cuisine. He is a talented chef with extensive kitchen management experiences and his gastronomic vision fits very well with our mission at Elements to create great French cuisine with Japanese influences. He is a fine addition to our team and strengthens even further Elements’ ability to serve innovative culinary creations that delight the senses.”
