The St. Regis Bangkok Named Five-Star Hotel In Forbes Travel Guide’s 2022 Star Awards

The St. Regis Bangkok was once again awarded a Five-Star rating in the 64th annual Forbes Travel Guide’s 2022 Star Awards, the fifth consecutive year the five-star hotel was given the highest rating in the prestigious global rating system for luxury hotels, restaurants and spas.

Five-Star ratings are given to establishments that are described by the prestigious travel guide as “outstanding, often iconic properties with virtually flawless service and amazing facilities”. In the Kingdom of Thailand The St. Regis Bangkok is one of three establishments bestowed with this honor.

“As restrictions lift and we welcome the steady return of international travel, I am proud of our team for consistently delivering on our promise of signature services, exquisite experiences and timeless traditions to create unforgettable stays for all our guests,” said Klaus Christandl, General Manager of The St. Regis Bangkok.

Created in 1958, the Five-Star rating system is the only independent, global rating system of its kind in the world for luxury hotels, restaurants and spas. Hotels are evaluated by anonymous inspectors who check-in for a minimum of two nights.

In addition to the hotel’s prime location directly accessible to a BTS Skytrain station, Forbes inspectors also highlighted The St. Regis Bangkok’s personal butler service, outdoor infinity pool, and collection of fine restaurants and bars.

Barely one year after it opened at The St. Regis Bangkok, IGNIV Bangkok was awarded its first Michelin Star in the 2022 edition of Michelin Guide Bangkok, elevating the restaurant alongside founding chef Andreas Caminada’s all-Michelin-starred family of restaurants in Switzerland, including Schloss Schauenstein (***), IGNIV St. Moritz (**), IGNIV Bad Ragaz (**), and IGNIV Zurich (*).

“Travel has come back strongly, and the resilient hospitality industry is creatively rallying to accommodate the increased occupancy demand for most regions,” says Hermann Elger, CEO of Forbes Travel Guide. “While the industry faces some lingering issues, the 2022 award winners proved ready for those challenges and more, demonstrating the best that luxury hospitality has to offer.”
