The St. Regis Bangkok presents the first themed afternoon tea of the year with “Floral Afternoon Tea”, a sensory experience featuring delicate blooms and indulgent delights. Inspired by Valentine’s Day and the season of love, the new Floral Afternoon Tea offers a selection of delicate sweets and savory treats, presented alongside a selection of aromatic floral mocktails crafted especially for the afternoon tea.
Savory items include a unique apple jelly with foie gras mousse; fresh spring roll with poached beetroot with poached chicken, rocket and berries sauce; and green apple and cherry blossom baba with cauliflower mousse. A mixed floral with prawn salad draws inspiration from a traditional Thai salad, while the smoked salmon and rose cream sandwich offers an enjoyable twist on the classic finger sandwich. Celebrating the sweeter side of life are indulgences including elderflower apple Normandy and a lavender blueberry éclair. Exquisite blossoms also lend their aromas, flavors, and colors to other desserts including St. Tropez orange blossom tort, rose choux pastry, and cherry blossom entremets. A quintessential component of the traditional afternoon tea, scones have also been reimagined with flowers, resulting in sunflower seed and sesbania flower scones served with pineapple jasmine jam, yuzu spread and clotted cream.
A selection of themed mocktails has also been created to complement the afternoon tea experience, with original concoctions including Rose Garden, made with Earl Grey tea, pineapple juice, and dashes of rose water. Dashes of jasmine essence give Blue Summer its signature aroma, combined with Pai Mu Tan Tea, blue curacao, peach, and yogurt syrups to create a beautifully hued floral afternoon tea. TWG St. Regis Blend tea is blended with passion fruit puree, chamomile tea and elderflower syrups, and topped with soda to make Tropical Breeze the perfect palate cleanser between bites.
The “Floral Afternoon Tea” afternoon tea experience is priced at THB 1,600++ per set including tea or coffee for two persons. Themed mocktails are priced at THB 250++ per glass. The afternoon tea is presented during 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM from February 1 – March 31, 2021 at The St. Regis Bar on the 12th floor of The St. Regis Bangkok.
