The Thai Airlines Association announces the approval of COVID-19 vaccination against COVID-19 for front-line airline employees

The Thai Airlines Association, jointly established by seven airlines, including Bangkok Airways, Thai AirAsia, Thai AirAsia X, Thai Smile Airways, Nok Air, Thai Lion Air and Thai Vietjet, organizes COVID-19 vaccinations against COVID-19. The events is taking place during 24-28 May 2021 in order to vaccinate its member employees, according to the policy of the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Health and Government to further prevent the epidemic of COVID-19. The vaccination events are being held at the Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon Department store, and are supported by Bangkok Hospital.

Mr. Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, President commented that, “The association received government approval to allocate COVID-19 vaccines in order to vaccinate all employees working for the seven Thai airline members because these employees are among the most important people for tourism. They are considered the first point of contact when people travel; moreover, these employees are dealing directly with a lot of passengers. Therefore, having our employees vaccinated not only builds their confidence, but also enhances the image of Thai tourism which is expected to recover in the near future.”

 The COVID-19 vaccination will be administered to 15,970 employees of all 7 airlines in Thailand. In addition to that, some fully vaccinated employees are voluntarily coming in to assist medical personnel and nurses during 24-28 May 2021. All assistance will meet the highest hygiene standards set by, and under the supervision of, the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health.the supervision of the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health.
