Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Deputy Director-General of the Tourism Authority of Thailand’ s Marketing Division, together with partners Tinder application and Drive Digital Co., Ltd. held a press conference to launch the “Single Journey Season 2” project.
The project aims to encourage solo travelers to open up new travel experiences and combat loneliness. It promotes two activities in April as a leading force to stimulate continuous domestic tourism at the Thana Rachad Hall, TAT Building.
Miss Thapanee Keeratipaiboon, Deputy Director of Marketing at TAT, said that due to the good response from the “Single Journey” project #อย่าล้อเล่นกับความเหงา (Don’tPlayWithLoneliness) in 2020, TAT has extended the project and brought in new technological innovations to promote the travel trend among quality tourists who have the potential to spend, such as solo travelers and singles, to go out and meet new friends, discover new experiences together, and use travel as an endless bridge to foster friendships. This has increased the frequency of travel and resulted in a boost to the economy throughout 2023. Therefore, TAT has continued the “Single Journey Season 2” project #อย่าล้อเล่นกับความเหงา (Don’tPlayWithLoneliness) for the second year, in collaboration with partners such as the Tinder application and Digital Drive Limited, offering various tourism activities through online marketing and on-ground events, to provide safe and meaningful travel experiences.
In the press conference for the launch of the “Single Journey Season 2” project, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) invited artists for solo travelers representatives including Nack Charlie Trairat, Tar Atiwat Saengtien and Yochi Rinrada Thurapan to discuss the solo travel route and exchange experiences of their own travels. This season, TAT has expanded the base of quality tourists to include solo travelers, who are looking for new adventure travel activities and experiences, as well as food lovers and music lovers to participate more in activities. TAT will have leading activities in April 2023, consisting of two events.
Event 1: “BABE Fest, The ultimate of couple festival” Couple of Beef and Beer festival will be held from April 7-9, 2566 at the SermSuk Warehouse30 in Bangkok. The festival gathers more than 50 famous restaurants that serve meat dishes for solo travelers who are meat lovers. Don’t miss the music performances from Violette Wautier, Rosalyn, Numcha, and YOKEE PLAYBOY. Participants will have the chance to win travel vouchers, Tinder Gold membership packages, and Anusara OSOTHO memberships. Tickets are priced at 200 baht per person, and there is no limit to the number of tickets. They can be purchased via the Line Official Account: @babefest.
Event 2: “Single on the Beach – This Pattaya has Love”
Take a chill and relax by the sea at The Oxygen Pattaya, Chonburi, and enjoy a music performance by Eit Patravee on April 29, 2566. The event ticket is priced at 299 baht with a limit of 300 tickets. Tickets can be purchased through the Line Official Account: @singlejourney starting from today (March 28, 2566).
In addition to that, there is also the launch of “Single Season2, 7 Routes” that caters to all travel styles, including:
- “Solo on the Yacht, standing alone like a queen” in Trat province
- “Solo Camping, if you’re feeling lonely at home, come and sleep in a tent with us” in Suphan Buri province
- “Solo Worship, love chapter for single people” in Mukdahan and Nakhon Phanom provinces
- “Romantic route” in Mae Hong Son province
- “Koh Libong, the island of your dreams” in Trang province
- “Rayong, try it and you’ll love it” in Rayong province
- “Solo blessing, may you find your partner” in Chiang Mai province.
