Not often do we get such a culinary journey, but an evening in JHOL does that and more. Located on Sukhumvit 18 in a large house, the restaurant is a short walk from BTS Asok and MRT Sukhumvit stations.
Jhol is much talked about in the scene in Bangkok for a good reason. Their food is a collection of recipes from 9 different coastal states of India. West Bengal, Kerala & Tamil Nadu, just to name a few.
Chef Hari Nayak @harinayak played a significant role in introducing Bangkok to coastal Indian cuisine. He also leads the team in SONA, a restaurant in New York.
Chef Hari began to hone his craft in restaurants in New York and had the great opportunity to work with some of the world’s best chefs, including Daniel Bolud, Marcus Samuelson and Albert Adria. His global experience and well-developed skills allowed him to reinterpret classic dishes from his homeland and create innovative new delights while retaining their origins’ heritage and flavours.
