Uniqlo U Spring/Summer 2021 Collection Launching January 22, A sense of lightness and freedom after a long winter indoors

Global apparel retailer UNIQLO announces the launch of the Uniqlo U Spring/Summer 2021 Collection starting January 22. (Presales of some items began earlier). Designed by Artistic Director Christophe Lemaire and his UNIQLO R&D team in Paris, the spring/summer collection marks the 10th season of Uniqlo U and features sophisticated essentials with a sense of lightness and freedom after a long winter spent indoors. Earthy neutrals mix with bright hues, evoking a feeling of nature’s renewal. Modern living calls for clothing with simplicity and purpose. Versatile, practical essentials are more important than ever. The lineup includes 34 items for women, 31 items for men and, new to Uniqlo U this season, 6 items for kids! (Kids’ styles launch February 26.)

New for women

Clean, minimal silhouettes and easy-care fabrics. Light, airy wovens are made from viscose and cotton-poly blends, and seamless 3D knits feature summery yarns. The semi-sheer shirt returns in classic men’s stripes. Denim makes a strong impression, with regular-fit jeans in a clean straight cut. A shiny rayon tunic and dresses showcase fluidity and soft colors. A skirt in cotton twill flares out in a new A-line silhouette, while coats are cut shorter for easy bicycle commutes.

New for men

Essential, functional, and durable pieces are designed with practicality and utility; simple styles are rooted in archetypal men’s shapes. Fabrics are focused on wovens that age well like classic cotton poplin and twill, and 3D knits feature a fresh linen-cotton blend. The Uniqlo U T-shirt comes in customer-favorite stripes and a new boat neck. Work pants are in a complementary earthy tone. A trucker jacket and regular-fit jeans create a tone-on-tone look.

New to Uniqlo U this season: Kids’ styles

Drawn from archival favorites, dresses, T-shirts and shorts were scaled down to child sizes. The collection gives kids of all ages the opportunity to experience the joys of dressing well, with simply sophisticated yet comfortable styles in refined fabrics for every day.
