FUJIFILM X-S20: Deliver high-quality images and videos with the compact mirrorless camera full of smart features
Fujifilm proudly presents its latest digital mirrorless camera “FUJIFILM X-S20” under the concept “Explore the Unseen World.” Weighing just 491g., the X-S20 features a compact design making it an ideal outdoor camera. Flaunting AI-empowered SR-Auto, the camera comes with proprietary color reproduction technology and stable focusing, catering to a variety of shooting styles ranging from casual self-portraits among friends to fully-fledged photography and videography. The X-S20 comes with X-S Series’ signature large grip for hand-holding stability and a durable housing in magnesium alloy. For increased performance, the camera features the AF, developed with AI. The X-S20 can detect animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, airplanes, trains, insects, and drones. The AF system automatically tracks an intended subject while keeping it in focus. The camera has more than doubled the number of frames to 750 compared to that of the previous model (X-S10). The X-S20 is equipped with the back-illuminated 26.1MP sensor “X-Trans™ CMOS 4” and the high-speed image processing engine “X-Processor 5” to produce high-quality images. It also comes with 19 Film Simulation modes including “Nostalgic Negative”. The camera is equipped with the five-axis in-body image stabilization (IBIS) mechanism that offers up to 7.0-stop advantage. Moreover, the use of the high-capacity NP-W235 battery means extended all-day shooting or during travel.
High-quality video production is made easy with FUJIFILM X-S20. The camera can record 6.2K/30P 4:2:2 10-bit video and supports extensive video functions including 4K/60P and 1080/240P capability. The X-S20 is compatible with FAN-001, a cooling fan, specifically designed to facilitate extended shooting and video recording in high temperature. Furthermore, the new Vlog Mode makes it easy for content creators to produce a Vlog when the camera is combined with the tripod grip, TG-BT1. When used in combination with Fujinon XF 8mm F3.5 R WR and the FUJIFILM XApp launched together, the X-S20 empowers photographers to unlock their photography and videography skills with ease.

Fujifilm announced the launch of the “FUJINON Lens XF8mmF3.5 R WR”. The lens joins the line-up of XF lenses, interchangeable lenses for the X Series cameras. The XF8mmF3.5 R WR is an ultra-wide angle (UWA) prime lens with a focal length of 8mm (equivalent to 12mm in the 35mm film format), the widest among the lineup of Fujifilm’s XF lenses. It boasts a viewing angle of 121 degrees diagonally and 112 degrees horizontally. The XF8mmF3.5 R WR measures 52.8mm long and weighs 215g. The compact and lightweight design makes it an ideal walkaround lens with a wide range of applications including landscape, architecture, and travel photography, perfect for both street and nature photography. Users will never miss important moments as this wide-angle lens is equipped with the Inner Focus system to achieve a fast AF speed of as fast as 0.02 seconds. The lens is weather-sealed to achieve dust- and weather resistance and the capability of operating in temperatures as low as -10 °C, ideal for travel enthusiasts.
Fujifilm surprised its fans with the unveiling of its FUJIFILM XApp, a new mobile app supporting Wi-Fi connectivity between mobile devices and GFX and X Series cameras. The new app allows remote shooting, data transfer, and instant photo display via smartphones and tablets. Broadening the appeals of the photographic experience, the app comes with a wide range of features and modes including Live View, convenient for remote operations via smartphones and tablets; Backup/Restore function, which allows users to save and manage camera settings through the app, streamlining multi-camera shooting; Timeline function that enables users to view information on the shooting, including the camera/lens used, number of images taken and shooting location information; and the “Activity” function, which automatically aggregates and displays shooting information of all connected cameras, enabling creators and professionals to quickly check their work. The FUJIFILM XApp is now available for download via iOS/iPadOS and Android.
Fujifilm recently invited photography enthusiasts to explore four of Bangkok’s landmarks during its FUJIKINA BANGKOK 2023. The landmarks include Talad Noi, Wat Pho, Museum Siam, and the Giant Swing. The photography trip was led by four famous photographers from Fujifilm X-Photographer Thailand – Ekkarat “Fee” Punyatara, National Geographic Thailand’s photographer; Thanasorn “Rabert” Janekarnkit, talented Creative and Street Photographer; Kankavee “Kan” Karnjanadecha, Cityscape photographer; and Natthakit “Totay” Chanthrasut, owner of TotayPaNai Facebook page. FUJIKINA BANGKOK 2023 was a great success gathering over 1,000 professional and amateur photographers.
