Vietnam implements 14 – day quarantine to all tourists, Vietjet launches passenger support

Today, Vietnam Aviation Administration announces that “Passengers who are citizens of ASEAN countries or other nationals who have been staying or transiting ASEAN countries within 14 days prior to the date of entry into Vietnam, will have to require compulsory isolation 14 days from the date of entry. This notice is effective from 00:00 (Hanoi Time) March 18, 2020 until further notice.”

Following the official announcement, passengers from Thailand to Vietnam will be quarantined upon arrival in designated place provided by the government of Vietnam for 14 days.

Vietjet and Thai Vietjet – the leader airlines between two countries – are launching policy to support passengers holding flight tickets for travel during 18 – 31 March 2020 by offer one time free of charge for travel date changing on the same route. These airlines had announced to suspend all flights between Thailand and Vietnam temporarily within period 20th – 31st March 2020.

Recently, the airlines had adjusted flight frequency following the travel demand for flights between Bangkok/ Chiang Mai/ Phuket to Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok to Hanoi/ Hai Phong/ Da Lat and Da Nang. Passengers whose flights were adjusted were well informed and taken care by the airlines.
