“Colours by Europe. Tastes of Excellence.” campaign, which presents and promotes European Union (EU) agricultural food and beverages products, was launched in Thailand on the 24th July 2021, via a LIVE online event. The opening ceremony was presided over by The Ambassador of the European Union to Thailand, H.E. Mr. Pirkka Tapiola. Company executives, VIPs, and over a dozen European food vendors joined the event to share their insights on European cuisine and to share products from the 27 EU Member States.
Ms. Buabucha Punnanan, a famous TV presenter, hosted the event, which featured a special appearance by Saint Suppapong, as well as guest chefs who shared the finest food and dishes from all over Europe. The event showcased authentic European food heritage and various EU agricultural products, ranging from fruits, meat, GI food and organic food, through various legendary dishes which were prepared during the cooking sessions. Other fascinating activities included prize-winning games, and experiences which took participants on a journey of discovering and enjoying European culture and history through delectable, authentic traditions, tastes and flavours.
As said by H.E. Mr. Pirkka Tapiola during the event, “European food is safe, it is of high quality, it is sustainably produced and it is local going global, [which] makes it so enjoyable”. In addition, EU agricultural products are known for being authentic, animal-friendly and organic (when labelled as such). These characteristics will be further communicated in Thailand during the 14-month campaign through a series of social media, retail and HoReCa activities and promotions.
“COLOURS BY EUROPE. TASTES OF EXCELLENCE.” campaign will continue welcoming everyone to explore the opportunity to feast on unique and authentic European food products. People will be invited to discover products that are delicious and simple to use, as well as learn how to turn them into healthy European meals for the whole family to enjoy!
