1Day Sooner, a non-profit organization that has signed up over 37,000 volunteers willing to be infected with COVID-19 in a human challenge trial, has gathered an interdisciplinary advisory board of prominent scientists, ethicists, and experts.
Founded in April 2020, 1Day Sooner advocates on behalf of volunteers for a potential COVID-19 human challenge trial. Their public campaign resulted in the NIH announcing preparations for these trials in August.
