Ms. Suporn Wattanavekin, Chairperson of AEON Thailand Foundation, along with the executive team and volunteers from AEON Thana Sinsap (Thailand) Public Company Limited, delivered the solar cell installation project and donated electronic equipment with a value over 1,558,000 baht to Wat Chulamanee in Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram. The donation, received by Phrakhru Sophitwiriyaporn (Somphot Phattajaro) or Luang Por It, the abbot of Wat Chulamanee, this initiative aligns with the foundation’s mission to enhance the quality of life for Thai society, including promoting the adoption of eco-friendly renewable energy solutions.
The AEON Thailand Foundation’s installation of 53.28-kilowatt solar cells at Wat Chulamanee enables the generation of solar-powered electricity for temple use. This initiative not only reduces annual electricity expenses by approximately 300,000 baht but also promotes clean energy, minimizing environmental footprints. The solar cells at Wat Chulamanee contribute to a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions, equivalent to planting trees in an area exceeding 50 rai.
