AEON Thailand Foundation supports solar panels and learning supplies to Ban Kaeng Sri Khot Border Patrol Police School, Ubon Ratchathani

With an aim to encourage the use of clean energy, AEON Thailand Foundation led by Mr. Katsushi Iwamoto (4th from right), Managing Director of ACS Servicing (Thailand) Company Limited together with Mr. Witchasorn Suwannakindra (3rd from right), Senior Vice President of AEON Thana Sinsap (Thailand) Public Company Limited and management team supported the installation of 9.81-kW solar panels valued at 478,418 Baht to generate electric power at Ban Kaeng Sri Khot Border Patrol Police School in Non Kor Sub-district, Sirindhorn District, Ubon Ratchathani province. The donation was received by Pol. Gen. Visanu Prasattongosoth (4th from left), Senior Inspector General, Royal Thai Police and Training Director of the Executive Development Program of National Police Agency. The foundation also refreshed the school’s library facilities by offering books and decorating a reading corner worth 236,014 Baht to foster learning and reading skills, as well as basic financial skill development materials for kindergarten students by providing income-expense logbooks for students.

AEON Thailand Foundation has introduced a solar cell installation project to promote the use of clean energy. The initiative will continue to support solar panel installation for other agencies. This aligns with the foundation’s mission of empowering and enhancing the quality of life, including accessibility to quality education for children in remote areas. Furthermore, this will help cultivate awareness of sustainable development and carbon emission reduction from global warming. The foundation expected installing the solar system would lower the burden of electricity cost at the school by approximately 5,000 Baht per month.
