AirAsia Resuming Direct Don Mueang-Macao Flights from 18 Feb Onwards!

AirAsia is resuming its Bangkok (Don Mueang) – Macao route with four flights a week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, seeing a 100 percent load factor on both the inbound and outbound legs of the route’s inaugural journey, which were met with exciting welcoming ceremonies that included the hand out of souvenirs and were joined in by both the Macao Government Tourism Office and Don Mueang Airport, with stringent health and safety measures observed.

Ms. Tansita Akrarittipirom, Head of Commercial AirAsia Thailand, said “The resumption of flights to Macao has been very well received by both inbound and outbound travelers with 100 percent load factors seen on both legs. The figures reinforce that Macao remains a top destination for Thai travelers and that Thailand is still a popular place to visit for Chinese tourists.”

“Macao is a major tourism destination for Thai people due to its fame as a place of spirituality, European architecture in Asia and leisure. We received strong support from the Macao Government Tourism Office in opening this route, which will provide opportunities to stimulate the economies of both sides by spurring travel” Ms. Tansita said.
