Authentic Tastes of Spring at Yamazato

The chefs at The Okura Prestige Bangkok’s signature Japanese restaurant Yamazato—which was awarded the Michelin Plate designation for the second year in a row in the Michelin Guide Thailand, making it one of only 5 Japanese restaurants among the 77 restaurants listed in the Michelin Plate category—celebrate Japanese spring season with a choice of special Gozen lunch platters and a multi-course Kaiseki dinner featuring the freshest of seasonal ingredients.

Highlights of the Gozen platters include assorted sashimi, tempura and grilled and simmered dishes starring seasonal delicacies such as firefly squid, Asari clams, moonfish and succulent Sakura shrimps. Authentic tastes of springtime in Japan continue with the multi-course Kaiseki menu. Standout dishes include a starter of firefly squid, mussel, shrimp, mountain vegetables and maitake mushroom with spicy miso vinegar, a soup of clam dumpling, mushrooms, sakura blossoms and a touch of yuzu, and a spectacular multi-flavoured simmered dish of sea bream roe, grilled shiitake mushroom, spinach, yuzu, taro, eggplant, bamboo shoot, carrot and butterbur.
