Che Buno’s EPIC Dinner Buffet: A Tour of Italy

The St. Regis Bangkok invites guests to explore the diverse flavors of Italy’s Northern, Central, and Southern regions with its EPIC Dinner Buffet, now enhanced with a selection of Italian culinary delights featuring high-quality, and imported ingredients directly from Italy. This offering is available through June 2024.

From the Northern regions of Lombardy, Aosta Valley, Veneto, and Emilia-Romagna, guests can indulge in dishes that reflect the rich culinary heritage of this area. The highlights include the indulgent Risotto all’Aragosta (Lobster Risotto), a hearty Lasagne al Forno (Italian Beef Lasagna) made with Wagyu beef, and Tiramisu. The cheese selections are particularly notable, featuring Gorgonzola Piccante DOP, a blue cheese made from Lombardy, and the aged Parmigiano Reggiano DOP, crafted from the milk of cows raised in the Northern Italian provinces.

Moving to the Central Italian regions of Lazio and Tuscany presents an assortment of house-made Roman-Style Pizza, including classic Margherita, luxurious Truffle, and savory Parma Ham options. The pasta station offers a choice of Fettucine, Gnocchi, and Tagliolini with regional specialty sauces such as Cacio e Pepe – representing the epitome of simplicity and elegance in Italian cuisine with cheese and pepper – and the decadent Con Salsa al Tartufo, infused with the exquisite flavor of truffles. Additional Central Italian dishes include Peach Panzanella Salad (Tomato, Peach and Bread Salad), Cacciucco alla Livornese (Italian Seafood Soup), and Saltimbocca alla Romana (Roman-style veal cutlets presented with prosciutto and sage).

The vibrant South, specifically Sicily and Campania, is represented by Al Nero Di Seppia, CaponataCaprese SaladRicotta Cannoli and the delicate Mozzarella di Bufala, produced from the milk of buffolo in the lush greenery of Campania. These offerings perfectly capture the essence of Southern Italian gastronomy, known for its bold flavors and traditional techniques.

Guests can also enjoy seafood on ice, presenting New Zealand mussels, Thai river prawns, a selection of fresh oysters: Fine de Claire; Fine de Normandie; and Irish oysters, shrimp cocktails, and a choice of sashimi. Each diner can also enjoy one whole Canadian lobster per person, served in a variety of preparations, such as Grilled Lobster Thermidor or Truffle Mushroom Risotto served with Grilled Lobster.

An unlimited à la carte menu, freshly prepared and served directly to the table, features all-you-can-order Snow Fish with Miso Sauce, Seared Scallops with Roasted Vegetables, Grilled Beef Striploin with Red Wine Jus; and Grilled Lamb Rack. At the carving station, rotating weekly highlights include roasted salmon; Beef Wellington, and braised ham with honey. For dessert, guests are invited to a newly expanded station where a variety of Italian-inspired desserts will be presented alongside a selection of ice creams, Thai desserts, and more.

Che Buono EPIC Dinner Buffet is available every Friday and Saturday throughout May to June, from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM for THB 2,500++ per person, including coffee and tea at VIU Restaurant on the 12th floor with a panoramic view over the Royal Bangkok Sports Club grounds and the night skyline only at The St. Regis Bangkok.
