Cigna Thailand Offers Insurance Coverage For “Office Syndrome” — Illnesses Caused By Overworking

Cigna Thailand, the leading global health service provider, is reintroducing Enhance Health: Office Syndrome, an insurance plan that offers continuous coverage for illnesses caused by extra-long working hours. Cigna aims to enhance the health and well-being of the Sandwich Generation, the generation of working-aged people between 35 and 49 years old, who are exposed to high levels of stress in their professional and personal lives.

The decision to reintroduce the Office Syndrome plan is supported by the results of Cigna’s annual 360 Well-Being Survey which shows that Thais are often stressed.

Mr. Julian Mengual, Chief Executive Officer and Country Manager of Cigna Thailand said, “With our mission to improve health, well-being and peace of mind of Thai consumers, we are proud to continue offering comprehensive and customized insurance plans to improve the lives of the working-aged Thais, a core group essential for the development of the country.”

The plan covers conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease, herniated discs and trigger finger, along with upper respiratory and gastrointestinal infections. It also offers up to three top-up protection plans, which are optional for policy takers, based on their preferences and risks. Customers will receive up to 300,000 baht per lifestyle-induced illness and a maximum of 3,000,000 baht per each critical illness, if one of the optional protection plans is selected.

With the reintroduction of the Enhance Health: Office Syndrome insurance plan, Cigna continues to lead the positive lifestyle trend for Thai workers by offering personalized and affordable health coverage that ensures financial security for a less stressed life with more confidence.
