Thai AirAsia X (XJ) is resuming its popular Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) – Sapporo, returning to a much-sought after destination in Japan from 29 October 2023.
Flying seven times a week (direct daily), the route resumption coincides with the transition of autumn to winter. Promotional fares start from only 6,990 THB one way and are available for booking from 7 August – 30 September 2023 for travel from 29 October 2023 – 30 March 2024 via the airasia Superapp.
Mr. Tassapon Bijleveld, Chief Executive Officer of Thai AirAsia X, said: “We are ecstatic to be resuming Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) – Sapporo as the Japanese island of Hokkaido is a high potential destination that is beloved by Thai travelers. The island can be visited all year-round with different attractions during the summer and winter periods and is home to wonderful seafood, including the famed Taraba crab.”
A variety of experiences are available on Hokkaido, especially during the transition from fall to winter, when it is at its most beautiful. Visitors can enjoy Sapporo’s winter festival, ski resorts, Moiwa Mountain, Sapporo Beer Museum or venture onward to nearby cities such as Otaru, Asahikawa and Niseko, each offering their own end of year activities.
“Resuming Sapporo brings more choice to Thai and international travelers, as well as Japanese travelers looking for economical ways to visit Thailand. This route has always received significant interest and we are bringing it back at a wonderful AirAsia price. We are sure Thai travelers will make full use of our tickets,” Mr. Tassapon said.
Thai AirAsia X currently flies Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) direct to Tokyo (Narita) 14 times a week and Osaka 10 times a week.
