Nissan in Thailand proudly handed over the keys of the all-new Nissan LEAF to Thai Summit Autoparts Industry Co., Ltd., the first Thai corporate customer of the world’s best-selling 100% battery electric vehicle.

“As a long-term business partner of Nissan, I trust in the company’s standard of quality in building Nissan vehicles. I am also proud to be part of an action that will help minimize the environmental issues across Thailand in a sustainable way, through the adoption of zero-emission electric vehicles like the Nissan LEAF,” said Sakulthorn Juangroongruangkit, the executive vice president of Thai Summit Autoparts Industry Co., Ltd, explaining how trust in the Nissan brand was also a key factor in the decision to buy a Nissan LEAF.

At the handover ceremony, held at the Nissan Education and Training Center on Bangna-Trad Road, KM22, Sakulthorn expressed his excitement about getting behind the wheel of a Nissan LEAF. “I look forward to the pleasure of driving the all-new Nissan LEAF with its state-of-the-art technology, acceleration rate and the silent ride.”

Ratthakarn Jutasen, vice president of sales for Nissan in Thailand, said at the ceremony that the first vehicle delivery to a valued corporate customer showed that both consumers and major organizations like Thai Summit Autoparts Industry see the benefits of electric mobility.

“Bringing the all-new LEAF to Thailand further underscores Nissan’s vision for the future of mobility, which will help move people to a better world, a world that is more electric, more connected and more autonomous. And we firmly believe that the LEAF will play a key role in zero-emission mobility solutions that help drive Thailand towards a sustainable future.”

The all-new LEAF has a driving range of more than 311 km according to the NEDC standard, and is over 60% more efficient than the previous model per charge – allowing drivers to enjoy safer, longer and more comfortable journeys. In addition, the LEAF is a central component of Nissan’s strategy to help build a sustainable electrification ecosystem in Thailand that will change the way people drive and live.

The all-new Nissan LEAF is available in a two-tone design – pearl white and super black – at a starting price of 1,990,000 Thai baht. Customers receive a vehicle warranty for 3 years or 100,000 kilometers, an EV system warranty for 5 years or 100,000 km, and a battery deterioration warranty for 8 years or 160,000 km.
