Huawei Thailand Clinches Cybersecurity Award!

Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd., led by President Dr. Chawapol Jariyawiroj, has received the prestigious ‘Thailand Cybersecurity Excellence Award 2023’, under the ‘Cybersecurity Support’ category, for its second consecutive year from Prime Minister Mr. Srettha Thavisin. The ‘Prime Minister Awards 2023’ were given to leading government agencies and companies in Thailand that have contributed to the country’s digital industries and cybersecurity. The award underlines Huawei’s commitment to drive forward Thailand’s intelligent digital technologies and ecosystem to prepare the country to fully embrace the digital era and become the future digital hub of ASEAN.

At this year’s award ceremony, Mr. Srettha Thavisin, the Prime Minister of Thailand, congratulated all the winners and joined the photo session at the Government House’s Santi Maitree Building. He expressed his deep appreciation to the different government agencies and private sector companies, including Huawei, who have helped elevate cybersecurity standards in Thailand, as well as the Thai youths who won first place at Huawei’s ‘Women Thailand Cyber Top Talent 2023’ competition. In addition, he encouraged all government agencies and private sector companies to renew their focus on cybersecurity and elevate it to international standards in order to prevent, handle, and reduce any cybersecurity issues the country may face.

AVM. Amorn Chomchoey, Secretary General at the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) also congratulated Huawei Thailand for receiving this year’s prestigious award: “One of the priorities in the national agenda is cybersecurity and data protection. As partners, NCSA and Huawei Thailand agree that we need to drive forward this agenda both directly and indirectly through various campaigns, which will result in even stronger cybersecurity standards for the country and more digital talents to serve demands from the industrial side. This is why the NCSA is partnering with Huawei to elevate cybersecurity standards across every sector of Thailand by incubating digital talents through various project, including the Thailand Cyber Top Talent and Women Thailand Cyber Top Talent projects. The NCSA would like to thank Huawei Thailand for its partnership in many successful projects throughout the years and to congratulate Huawei for receiving this prestigious award.”

This year’s Prime Minister Awards is Huawei Thailand’s second consecutive year winning in the cybersecurity category. Huawei was awarded with the “Prime Minister Awards – Thailand Cybersecurity Excellence Award 2022” from the NCSA in 2022 and in 2023, Huawei Thailand was awarded the “Prime Minister Awards – Cybersecurity Supporting Awards 2023”. These recognitions reflect the company’s excellence in innovations and data protection and ongoing efforts to drive the nation’s digital ecosystem to fully connect everyone, every household, and every organization with intelligent technology to support Thailand’s digital sustainable future.
