Lido, the charming Italian restaurant nestled in The Standard, Hua Hin, celebrates the Lunar New Year with a unique menu that marries the refined flavors of Italian cuisine with the unparalleled food tradition of Dim Sum with small portions designed to touch the heart not sate the appetite. On the eve of the Lunar New Year, specifically on 9th February from 6PM – 10PM, Lido will host a Lunar New Year dinner, inviting guests to welcome the Year of the Wood Dragon amidst captivating decorations and entertainment.
Bringing together the best of both east and west, the set menu comprises three courses: flavorful buns, savory dumplings, and a rich dessert. The buns draw inspiration from Italian classics like carbonara and Bolognese, presented in gua bao style with pork belly, guanciale, pecorino, and egg bottarga. From traditional prawn and pork siu mai to innovative variations such as Italian sausage Lop cheung bao, parmigiana gyoza, and squid shui jiao, the range of dumplings offers diverse flavors. To conclude, guests can indulge in two delightful steamed bun and egg tart options: pistachio bun and figs egg tart.
Between courses, guests will delight in fortune cookies with lucky messages, and temporary tattoos featuring Chinese or dragon designs. The set menu is priced at THB 1,200 net per person, offering a choice of two buns, two dumplings, and one dessert. Additionally, guests can indulge in a wine pairing with three glasses of curated wine for an extra THB 1,200.
