Luxury Travel Surges at ILTM Asia Pacific 2024 Event

ILTM - APAC - LogoSingapore, the vibrant heart of Asia Pacific, hosted the much-anticipated ILTM Asia Pacific 2024 from July 1-4, marking a pinnacle event in the luxury travel industry. Over 650 luxury travel advisors, representing high-net-worth individuals from 30 countries, gathered to forge connections and explore business opportunities in the rapidly expanding market.

A Gathering of Influential Minds

The opening forum on July 1 set the stage with a comprehensive global outlook from the Economist Intelligence Corporate Network. Their insights revealed that Asia is projected to contribute 60% of global GDP growth in 2024, surpassing pre-pandemic levels. This underscores the region’s pivotal role in driving future economic expansion.

ILTM’s dedicated consumer intelligence research, conducted in partnership with FINN Partners, highlighted a significant shift in travel dynamics. The study revealed that China’s female travellers, who influence 70-80% of travel decisions, are reshaping the future of luxury travel. These women accounted for nearly 60% of Chinese tourists last year, showcasing a notable shift in gender dynamics within the world’s largest source market.

Voices from the Industry

Attendees, including over 50 influential media representatives, were thrilled to connect with luxury travel providers worldwide. Sue Basedow of MTA Travel in Australia praised ILTM: “In my 40 years in the travel industry, ILTM is the best luxury travel event worldwide. The connections I make are invaluable, fueling my passion to create unique itineraries for my clients.”

Bobby Peng from Hovering Travel in China shared his perspective: “ILTM Asia Pacific is an efficient way to conduct business. The appointments are perfectly timed and of excellent quality. My clients will greatly benefit from the new contacts and knowledge I’ve gained.”
