With the season to be jolly approaching, beachfront resort Meliá Koh Samui will host an array of festivities including a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, exquisite dining experiences, a visit from Santa Claus, fireworks and more.
After kicking off the festive program with the tree lighting ceremony amid a choir performance on 20 December 2022, the resort overlooking secluded Choeng Mon beach will stage a four-course Christmas Eve dinner, Christmas Day buffet brunch and New Year’s Eve gala dinner and after party.
Celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at Meliá Koh Samui with our indulgent brunch and dinner menus with a wonderful festive atmosphere, beautiful Christmas decorations, live entertainment and a visit from Santa Claus with gifts for the children, it’ll be a very Merry Christmas for one and all!
On Christmas Eve (24 December 2022) our culinary team will serve a Western-themed four-course dinner with optional paired wines. Staged at the Power Lounge from 7pm – 10pm, the dinner is priced at THB 2,200++ per person and totals THB 3,600++ per person with paired wines.
To mark Christmas Day (25 December 2022), the resort will stage a delectable buffet brunch brimming with all sorts of indulgent options at a series of stations to a backdrop of live Trio Band. The ‘Raw Bar’ will offer imported French ‘Fine de Claire’ oysters, Koh Samui mud crabs, poached tiger prawns, steamed Surat Thani mussels and Portuguese clams “bulhão pato”.
The brunch’s ‘Carving Station’ will feature honey-glazed Christmas ham, roasted whole turkey, Australian grain-fed prime rib, and Australian leg of lamb with garlic and rosemary. In addition to Japanese and Spanish stations, the feast will include a traditional Christmas platter and trimmings, Massimiliano charcuterie board and cheese collection. Yule Log cakes, Mazapán de Toledo, Panettone, Christmas pudding with brandy cream, and croquembouche are among the desserts.
Santa Claus will give the children gifts and wish them a Merry Christmas at the brunch, to be held from noon until 4pm at The Breeza Beach Restaurant & Bar. The brunch is THB 2,500++ per person and THB 1,250++ per child aged 5 to 12.
On the final day of 2022 (31 December 2022), the resort will host a Gatsby-themed gala dinner buffet under the stars at the garden lawn and Koko Kitchen from 7pm – 10.30pm with live Trio Band, cabaret show, fire dancing show and lucky draw prizes will be on offer. The buffet’s selection of Mediterranean and local Thai cuisine will include a ‘Charcoal Grill Station’ with river prawns, Southern style grilled octopus, and Australian strip loin. In addition to the Raw Bar’s fresh seafood and an ‘Artisan Pasta Station, other highlights include a whole roasted suckling pig Thai style, and Beher Jamón Ibérico “Pata Negra”. The gala dinner starts from THB 3,900++ per person and is THB 1,800++ per child aged 5 to 12.
Afterwards, guests are invited to join a countdown party on the beach to ring in the new year with live music, a DJ spinning tunes and a riot of colour as fireworks light up the skies.
