Modern Chinese Cuisine, Timeless Memories Await!

Nestled in the stylish corridors of the newly refurbished Erawan Bangkok, right next to the famed Erawan Shrine, Man Ho Bistro introduces a fresh and innovative concept to the city’s culinary landscape when it opens on 23 February 2024. As an extension of the popular award-winning Man Ho Chinese Restaurant at JW Marriott Bangkok, the new bistro brings something truly special to the table – a blend of cherished Chinese culinary traditions with a dash of modern flair that is all about creating unforgettable moments and flavors that linger.

Imagine stepping into a space where sophistication meets nostalgia, where every detail, from the decor to the dish presentation, tells a story of passion and craftsmanship. That is Man Ho Bistro for you, a bistro that is not just about dining but about reliving memories and making new ones.

The restaurant’s interior design reflects its namesake, blending contemporary elegance with nostalgic touches. Earthy tones, sleek lines, and swatches of color create a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for intimate gatherings or lively celebrations. The entrance boasts an eye-catching bar in wooden tones, perfect for sipping on drinks before or after your meal. At the center of the restaurant the live open kitchen creates an opportunity for interaction and conversation between chefs and diners. A range of private dining rooms offer a secluded space for special occasions, with the largest one fitted with live cooking stations.

At the helm of this culinary adventure is Chef Leslie Du, the Executive Chinese Chef at Man Ho Chinese Restaurant at the JW Marriott Bangkok, who brings a slice of modern Chinese cuisine learned from none other than his mentor, the Master Chef Jereme Leung. Together with his team the talented Senior Sous Chef Xia Yue Shan and the innovative Barbecue Sous Chef Zhang Wei Dong, Chef Leslie Du is all set to dazzle your taste buds.

Man Ho Bistro offers a culinary journey through the heart of mainland China, featuring comfort dishes inspired by the vibrant flavors of Sichuan and Shandong provinces. The chefs have drawn upon their personal experiences and travels to these regions to craft a menu that celebrates the rich tapestry of Chinese cuisine. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared with a focus on local ingredients and signature flavors, designed for sharing among family and friends.

Signature dishes include Char siu barbecue Australian beef rib, Steamed cod fish with preserved radish, black beans and soy sauce, Wok-fried egg crab with sweet potato noodles, Crispy scallop dumplings wrapped with mashed taro topped with caviar, and Artisan avocado ice cream, flaked almonds and pumpkin seeds.

Complementing the food are innovative cocktails like the Cha Toddy, a comforting blend of Chinese whisky, honey ginger, and citrus; the aromatic spirit-forward Ganbei a mix of whisky, sweet vermouth, Grand Marnier, Aromatic Bitters; and the Chrysanthemum Fashioned, a unique floral concoction.

“At Man Ho Bistro, we are not just serving food; we are crafting experiences that connect our guests to the rich heritage of Chinese cuisine, reimagined for the modern palate. We invite you to join us on this journey and discover the timeless beauty of Chinese culinary art”, said Chef Leslie Du.

Man Ho Bistro at Erawan Bangkok is open every day of the week, offering all day dining from 11.30 am to 10.00 pm. Make your reservation by calling +662.079.1189.
