Skål is pleased to announce our first meeting of the New Year: Networking and Catchup at Yamada Japanese Restaurant. We haven’t met since last November and we have lots of good news to share. We would also like to know what you have been up to and how you plan to engage in the new year. Join us as we launch into 2024 and share your thoughts over an excellent meal at a brand-new restaurant in Chiang Mai. The Yamada restaurant is located on the street side of Old Chiangmai Cultural Center, next to Moment’s Notice Jazz Bar.
This month’s chosen venue is the new Yamada Japanese Restaurant, an izakaya gem in Chiang Mai offering kushikatsu-style food. Yamada is a casual Japanese pub/restaurant typically found in Japan. Izakaya are the go-to choice for after-work dinner parties. One might compare them to an Irish pub or a tapas bar, as they are informal, inexpensive, and a lot of fun. Kushikatsu is a Japanese dish of deep-fried skewered meat and vegetables. But the menu at Yamada is much broader than just Kushikatsu.

We look forward to welcoming you on Thursday, 25 January at 6:30 pm. The restaurant is located at 185/3 Wua Lai Rd, Haiya Sub-district, Mueang Chiang Mai District. This is at on the street side of Old Chiangmai Cultural Center, next to Moment’s Notice Jazz Bar. Plan to come at 6:30 to register and meet your fellow Skalleagues. Dinner will be served at 7:00.
