Introducing Sama 2.0, the world’s first AI digital human cabin crew, Qatar Airways mesmerized visitors through a stunning holographic display and a state-of-the-art stand featuring immersive experiences that showcased the airline’s remarkable technological innovation.

Powered by advanced conversational AI, Sama 2.0 stands at the forefront of the airline’s transformative journey. Sama interacts with passengers on Qatar Airways’ immersive platform, QVerse, providing personalized travel information while continually enhancing her responses through dynamic passenger interactions. This AI marvel, embodying futuristic hospitality, will refine and elevate travel experiences for millions across the globe.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer emphasized the airline’s dedication to redefining travel: “We’re thrilled to introduce Sama 2.0 at ATM Dubai. She represents the pinnacle of digital innovation in human interaction, aligning perfectly with our commitment to exceed expectations and provide unparalleled travel experiences.”

In addition to Sama 2.0’s debut, Qatar Airways launched a cutting-edge stand featuring immersive tech, including virtual reality (VR) tours and a multi-sensory pod. These innovations allow guests to explore the luxurious interiors of the airline’s award-winning Qsuite and state-of-the-art fleet, providing a taste of the unparalleled comfort Qatar Airways is known for.

The airline, a seven-time winner of the ‘World’s Best Airline’ award, also showcased its expanding network and resumed operations to popular destinations to meet growing travel demand:

  • Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo: Inaugural flight on 1 June 2024.
  • Tashkent, Uzbekistan: Inaugural flight on 2 June 2024.
  • Lisbon, Portugal: Resumption of service on 6 June 2024.
  • Venice, Italy: Flights resume on 12 June 2024.
  • Hamburg, Germany: Inaugural flight on 1 July 2024.

The airline also operates flights to summer hotspots like Adana, Antalya, Bodrum, Marrakech, Mykonos, Sarajevo, and Trabzon.

In response to soaring demand, Qatar Airways has increased frequencies on key routes for summer 2024:

  • Almaty: From 7 to 14 flights weekly.
  • Baku: From 7 to 12 flights weekly.
  • Bangkok: From 35 to 38 flights weekly.
  • Casablanca: From 4 to 7 flights weekly.
  • Barcelona: From 14 to 21 flights weekly.
  • Manchester: From 18 to 21 flights weekly.
  • New York (JFK): From 14 to 21 flights weekly.
  • Rome: From 18 to 21 flights weekly.
