Radisson Hotel Group’s Pioneering Venture Sets Stage in Cambodia’s Capital

Radisson-Hotel-GroupIn a significant move that marks Radisson Hotel Group’s debut in Cambodia, the esteemed hospitality brand has unveiled plans for a dual-branded hotel project in Phnom Penh’s core. Set to open doors by the first quarter of 2026, the Radisson Blu Hotel & Residences, Phnom Penh, and the Radisson RED Hotel Phnom Penh promise to elevate the city’s luxury accommodation scene.

Strategically located in the vibrant heart of Phnom Penh, within the prestigious Prince Happiness Plaza, these new ventures are part of a more extensive mixed-use development. This prime location offers easy access to high-end retail, exquisite dining options, and commercial spaces, embodying the essence of luxury and convenience. With Cambodia’s tourism and economic indicators on a steep upward trajectory, the timing couldn’t be more opportune for Radisson Hotel Group’s expansion.

Already a beacon of growth in Southeast Asia, the country has seen a remarkable 140% increase in international visitors in 2023 alone, with expectations to welcome seven million guests by 2025. Phnom Penh, the nation’s bustling capital and economic powerhouse, is projected to experience a GDP growth of 6.0% in 2024, underscoring the city’s burgeoning potential as a hub for business and leisure.

Mr. Ramzy Fenianos, Radisson Hotel Group’s Chief Development Officer for Asia Pacific, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership with Prince Real Estate Group, noting the vast business and leisure travel potential in this emerging market. This dual-branded development, he remarked, is poised to enhance the Group’s portfolio in Southeast Asia significantly.

Echoing this sentiment, Mr Edward Lee, CEO of Prince Real Estate Group, highlighted the project’s expected contribution to Phnom Penh’s future. With a prime location and unmatched facilities, the development under the Radisson Blu and Radisson RED brands is anticipated to attract a growing number of visitors to Cambodia.

The Radisson Blu Hotel & Residences, Phnom Penh, will cater to the sophisticated tastes of corporate travellers and extended-stay guests with its 160 guestrooms, serviced apartments, and 90 branded residences. Each accommodation is designed to offer panoramic views of the city’s skyline and river, ensuring a stay that is as luxurious as it is comfortable.

On the other hand, the Radisson RED Hotel Phnom Penh is crafted for those seeking a vibrant, design-led experience reflecting the city’s dynamic spirit. The hotel will feature 200 stylish rooms, ranging from modern Deluxe Rooms to spacious One-Bedroom Suites, catering to business and leisure travellers.

Both properties will share premium facilities, including an all-day restaurant, a lobby lounge, a spa, a pool, and a gym. Additionally, the development will offer a co-working space, a reading lounge, and versatile event venues catering to corporate travellers and digital nomads’ needs.

This landmark project signifies Radisson Hotel Group’s strategic expansion into Cambodia and sets a new standard for luxury and innovation in the hospitality sector. As Phnom Penh continues to grow and attract international attention, Radisson’s dual-branded hotels are poised to become landmarks of comfort, style, and sophistication in the heart of Cambodia.
