Skal Chiang Mai August News letter

Skål International Chiang Mai and Northern Thailand met for our first dinner event since the covid-19 lock down at the #ratilannaresortandspa.  We were incredibly happy to welcome almost all of our Skål International Chiang Mai members (95% attendance) in addition to many guests from the area.

At the event, the club was looking to brand itself to include the rich Lanna culture in its dialogue and identity. Northern Thailand has one of the richest cultures in the world and is a main reason visitor come to see and experience the beautiful city of Chiang Mai. During the event, discussions within the members were also raised as to other tourism avenues to pursue. In a quest to collaborate with local and international industries, the focus is to work in unison with other local tourism organizations across Thailand to have one main message to help attract new visitors to the city, and boost our members’ business opportunities.

Considering the tighter budgets everyone is experiencing in the current 2020 climate, we announced a membership discount for 2021.

To support our members for the upcoming year, SKÅL international Chiang Mai reduced their member renewal fee from 4,500 THB to only 4,000 THB (for payment before December 31st).

Additionally, looking to invite more new members to our club, we are pleased to offer a special promotion for joining today and receiving a 16-month membership, activated right away this year, then continuing through all of 2021. This extends discounts and networking benefits of Skål membership to new members for 16 months instead of only 12 months next year.

In other words, membership will be from 1st of Sep 2020 through 31st of Dec 2021! Instead of 4,500 THB, we are asking only 4,000 THB, plus a one-time 1,000 THB processing fee, with the remainder of 2020 free!

Overall, the club is extremely excited to get back to business, deliver more value to our members, and we look forward to providing more great monthly networking events for our Chiang Mai community.

Skål!
