Skal March Newsletter

Dear Fellow Skalleagues,

Dancing, shaking hands, sharing an apple… Oh how things can change in 30 days!

I hope everyone is safe and managing through these unprecedented times okay.  Lets all hope this all ends soon, and we all get back to enjoying, meeting and experiencing once again very very soon.

Last Skal Event

Despite the shadowing climate,  Skal Chiang Mai met at the Anantara Resort for another elegantly crafted dinner and good networking with 14 member/ guests participating.

We were privileged to have two (2) guest speakers:

Pim Kemasingki with City Life Magazine – talking about the current air quality, and optimal solutions to cure the ” seasonal ” haze.   In addition, Pim announced her last hard copy magazine printing after 30+ years, and looked forward to optimizing digital postings going forward in the future.

Martin Venzky-Stalling with Chiva Care – talking about staying healthy during these times of isolation and eating and exercising right.  Martin specializes also in Medical Tourism and is able to show the dramatic cost savings by doing ones medical care in Thailand.

Our committee was short handed with Mike Harley and Punnee Leeja taking a break spending time with their family, resulting in Aaron Espana becoming our Thai Skal toast extraordinaire.  Well done Aaron!

The Anantara Resort was very kind to put together a special pick-up/ take away menu for returning attendees and will be posted later on FB.

After breath taking pictures of the serene Ping river,  the evening closed with a yummy dessert, an acknowledgement of the importance to feed the economy and a reassurance that Skal is here to help.

Next Month ( April ) – Cancelled!

Due to the embedded CONVID-19 announcements and actions, we will not be having a dinner event next Month in April.  I’m confident by May things will be back to normal, and we can start again networking and building for the future!

In closing, I wanted to mention again that Skal is here to help.  Our mission is to help you grow, network and assist for the future.  We hope we can bring everyone together, including in times of need, and bridge together those necessary building blocks for a strong and prosperous future.
